Waterloo Commercial Property to Rent, Buy and Sell

Waterloo station is the gateway to the South Bank area which is rich in cultural attractions and pulls in thousands of people to the area throughout the year. The surrounding area contains other landmarks such as the IMAX cinema, Gabriel’s Wharf marketplace and St Thomas’ hospital.

In October 2007, Mayor Ken Livingstone unveiled plans for an extensive redevelopment project for the area involving the creation of a new city square, removal of cars from Waterloo Road and an emphasis on the ease of access to the area for pedestrians, buses and the cross river tram. The Mayor is also encouraging the development of several small skyscrapers around Waterloo Station and along the “commercial spine” that runs behind the riverside. This project will have a large impact on the value of commercial property in the area and will also create more commercial office space in the vicinity of Waterloo.
