St James Commercial Property for Rent or to Let
The St James area, bordered on two sides by park land; St James’s Park to the south and Green Park to the east, was originally part of the same royal park. The area was first developed during the reign of King Charles II, predominantly for aristocratic residential property. To this day St James has a high status, however it is now predominantly a commercial property area containing many exclusive gentleman’s clubs and several global headquarters for major business such as BP. The auction house, Christies, has its premises in the area and there are many other art and antiques businesses in the surrounding streets.
